A PERSONAL VIEW - Read what our dancers say about our continental holidays...Click the Links below...........Testimonial Platja D'Aro Spain 2006Testimonial Platja D'Aro Spain 2007 Testimonial Sanitago Trial 2007 "Santiago Trial 2007 - We enjoyed the holiday very much. The hotel was excellent, set in an attractive location and on the whole the catering was very good. The dancing in the evening was very enjoyable and catered for every standard of dancer from learners to medallists. … We also found the excursions very worthwhile. The towns were interesting and the time allocated for being there was just right, and Jonathan's input (holiday rep) was invaluable." "Santiago Trial 2007 - Jill's letter, posted on the internet, said it all. Many congratulations on hosting a wonderful dance holiday. Roy and I had a super time." "Santiago Trial 2007 - An excellent holiday, great excursions. Jonathan was a great courier and we enjoyed the dancing too! … The visit to Santiago De Compostela was amazing and a very memorable experience, and the "wall to wall" sunshine for the week made the holiday unforgettable. Thanks for everything." "Santiago Trial 2007 - We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at The Hotel Ofir, our first with Eden Nights, but certainly not the last! The dancing at night was excellent and the daytime excursion programme was most enjoyable….. Thanks for a super holiday." "Santiago Trial 2007 - Although we were two ladies without partners, we were both made welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, and both agreed the hotel was first rate. … We both felt we would like to go again. Many thanks to you for a lovely holiday." |

Port El Kantaoui is also remarkable as a resort, in that it was constructed from scratch in the late 1970s to emulate the comfort and luxury of such well-known marina resorts as Marbella and Vilamoura. Benefitting from beautiful sandy beaches, it's well chosen central location also offers excellent access to the north, interior and south of the country. Rooms: 387 ensuite bedrooms with bath, shower, separate toilet and a balcony. All rooms also have telephone, centrally controlled air conditioning / heating, satellite TV, wireless internet connection (extra charge), safe, hair dryer, mini-fridge. Other features: buffet restaurant with show cooking and theme nights, lobby lounge bar, show bar, Arabic café (extra charges), vast free form outdoor pool, small indoor pool & jacuzzi, health & beauty spa (extra charges), tennis courts, pétanque, bridge room, hairdresser, shops, internet room (extra charge), evening entertainment and/or live music several times a week. The Ballroom: The 300m2 octagonal hotel ballroom has recently been adorned with a brand new wooden floor and enjoys a considerable amount of natural light during the day. Excursion PossibilitiesCarthage & Sidi Bou Said: A wonderfully rich and varied excursion, this trip begins with an exploration of the ruins of the ancient city of Carthage before heading to the beautifully located, picture-postcard, hilltop village of Sidi Bou Said, for time at leisure. After lunch, enjoy an unforgettable visit to the Bardo Museum in Tunis to admire its spectacular collection of ancient mosaics. El Jem & Kairouan: Travel to the interior of the country to visit one of the world's finest Roman amphitheatres, at El Jem, and Islam's third holiest city, Kairouan, renowned not only for its ancient mosque but also for the manufacture of fine quality handwoven carpets. Sousse & Monastir: Both fascinating fortified port cities close to Port El Kantaoui, Sousse is particularly noteworthy for its historic centre, Kasbah area and small but intriguing antiquities museum, whilst Monastir offers a fine medieval fortress and a highly impressive mausoleum built in honour of Tunisia's first president. Saharan Discovery Extension WeekSpend 4 days exploring the fascinating northern fringes of the Sahara desert and a further 3 days enjoying the fine facilities of the Riu Bellevue Park. En route to the south visit the former Roman city of Sbeitla, which contains one of the world's best preserved Roman forums and many other remarkable ruins besides. A 2-night stay in the beautiful and architecturally unique southern city of Tozeur then includes a visit to its museum of Tunisian life, a carriage ride exploring Tunisia's largest palm forest, a 4x4 tour visiting the ancient mountain oasis communities of the region and time at leisure to explore Tozeur's fascinating city centre. A drive across the hypnotic pan-flat salt desert of Chott El Jerid then leads to a 1-night in the Saharan gateway town of Douz to witness the spectacular drama of a sunrise over the Saharan dunes. Finally, return north to Port El Kantaoui, visiting the intriguing troglodyte community of Matmata and passing through a number of picturesque mountain villages en route. Accommodation at the Riu Bellevue Park is on a fully inclusive basis whilst the remainder of the extension is on full board at 4-star hotels but with no drinks included. |
