January 9th - 13th

Especially for Tea Dancers

Paddocks Hotel, Symonds Yat

Dance Programme: 50% Ballroom/Latin, 50% Popular & Modern Sequence.

This holiday includes:

  • Sherry Reception
  • Dinner and B&B
  • Dancing every night
  • Formal Ball
  • Free Sequence Lessons with Tony & Anne Dibble for 3 mornings.

Holiday Overview

This holiday is ideal for all standards of dancers, but has a more, 'relaxed and laid back' atmosphere during the evening dancing (8.30pm - 10.30pm) because the programme is split equally between Popular Sequence and Ballroom/Latin. We seek information from all our dancers on these breaks if they have Modern Sequence dances in their repertoire and we include their choices within the sequence part of the dance programme. We have many sequence only dancers on our Especially for Tea Dancers breaks because they find the 50/50 split ideally suits their energy levels and watching others dance in-between sequence (and listening to different music from their normal genre) is relaxing and pleasant and enhances the overall experience.

The nature of our guests on these breaks is extremely friendly and the entire holiday turns into a very social and informal occasion and as such, dancers repeat book and so friendships form and the circle begins to grow and grow... If you want a relaxing break, with good home cooked food and a selection of dancing in the evening, Especially for Tea dancers breaks in January and December are the break for you.

Evening dancing hosted by Peter Withy-Tebby Mon/Tues and Paul Eden Wed/Thurs evening

5 day 4 night: £99pp
Tuition: Included

Modern Jive
A more ‘laid back’ dance than ‘Jive’ that can be easily learnt, and the joy for most dancers who love the genre is it can be danced at almost any timing, slow and quick pace and is ideal when you are at a party with pop music.

Come and learn FREE the straightforward amalgamations and be amazed at how quickly you can pick up this relaxed genre of dance.

Modern Jive Tuition is also availiable on June 15th - 17th

Argentine Tango
Fernando & Tara met and found a shared connection and passion for Tango, and have travelled together to Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Holland, Croatia, Norway and all around England, performing and teaching the dance.
For Tara and Fernando Argentine Tango is an improvisational dance. In their classes they use exercise to encourage improvisation from an early stage as well as showing short sequences of steps to grasp a concept. They provide the students with tools to understand the principals that govern each movement. They create exercises that enable them to experience something first and then reflect on it. All this is surrounded by a young, friendly learning environment.
