Just outside Bideford on the road to Westward Ho this is a new hotel for Holidays4dancers.

FOOD & RESTAURANT: Our experience of the hotel is limited to two inspection visits. The food was excellent and the service exemplary. We will be eating in a room other than the restaurant which is adjacent to the ballroom and we feel our dancers will be satisfied with the surroundings and ambience.

ROOMS & PUBLIC AREAS: The rooms, all recently refurbished, are of contemporary decor, with a good standard of furnishings and the bathrooms have marble walls and glass sinks making them luxurious in appearance. Dancers, the hotel offers standard rooms as described above, premium rooms with more space and sofas, and 8 Jacuzzi(for two) rooms of varying sizes (not necessarily as large as some of the other premium rooms) and you should ring our office if you want to treat yourself to an upgrade. The public areas have a colonial feel with dark wood, etched glass and marble floors and the ballroom is stunning with a brand new dedicated dance floor.

We have already emailed regarding what a superb weekend and dancing experience enjoyed by our 4some. Since we are still talking and thinking about it, especially the techniques and figures given by Vincent & Flavia we are happy to add some more comments. The special part must be Vincent & Flavia as a couple teaching the techniques to top standards. The itinerary of the cabaret show was another experience that made it greater than our expectations.

Once again another fantastic weekend! We all had such a brilliant time and I can’t wait for the next one in October. The two holidays that we have spent with Vincent & Flavia have been the most amazing experiences – to be taught by them, and have the privilege of watching them dance in such an intimate group. They are both extremely good teachers and warm and friendly people and it was lovely to be there and have a laugh with them again. It would be so sad if we could not do another ‘V&F weekend’ – please use all of your charm to book them next year.

It is minutes from Westward Ho! & Instow beaches as well as Royal North Devon golf course.

Local Information

Bideford is an attractive town on the banks of the Torridge estuary. Following the building of a new bridge in the late 1980s it is not so busy with the traffic heading into North Cornwall able to bypass the town on the A39.

The old road has a lovely famous bridge crossing the Torridge linking the town of Bideford to its aptly named neighbour "East the Water".

This area of North Devon was home to the Author Charles Kingsley, and where he based his novel Westward Ho!, since that novel was published the town of Westward Ho! has grown and was in-fact named after the book!

The area around Bideford has some fascinating places to visit places such as Appledore, Instow and Clovelly have there own charm, whilst at Great Torrington, the Dartington Glass Factory has a visitor's attraction and Factory shop.
