Set on the esplanade in Weymouth the 3 star Regent hotel has been the scene of many dance holidays with dancing in the evening in the Fabulous Regency Ballroom.

FOOD & RESTAURANT: The food at the Regent has always been noted as 'good' by our dancers and 'very good' by some. The menu is enhanced by additional choices at extra cost, and Carole and I often have the steak which is sensational. The restaurant is very comfortable with plenty of space and Mike, the restaurant & banqueting manger, is the most helpful maitre d of all our hotels. Breakfast is self service with all your evening meals served to your table.

ROOMS & PUBLIC AREAS: The rooms at the Regent are very comfortable with en-suite facilities. Typical 3 star chintzy in decoration with comfortable beds and although there is a slow programme of upgrading (plasma TVs etc) currently in progress, there is already a high degree of satisfaction of the rooms by our dancers. We do have a small allocation of sea view rooms and these are allocated in order of booking. The layout of the hotel means unless you want to sit in the public rooms, you do not pass though them but they are appropriately 3 star. The ballroom is a beautiful original Regency Ballroom, always warm, has a dedicated floor with surrounding carpeted tables and chairs, and is highly praised by our dancers for their care of the floor.

PREVIOUS HOLIDAYS: The Regent has our dancers returning year after year because it is 'easy' and delightful and its name depicts its ambience. The staff are helpful, the food good and with the ongoing improvements to the hotel we have made a long term commitment for our holidays. Dancers should note there is limited parking and attention should be given to ensuring your space by early arrival.

Testimonials

WEYMOUTH 14TH - 17TH SEPT 07

"We thoroughly enjoyed our first dancing holiday with our friends from Bristol. We were not sure what to expect as we have only been having sequence lessons since January, but the range of dances gave everyone the chance to participate. The venue and your overall organisation were excellent. Thank you."

"We really enjoyed the break. The atmosphere and sociality generated by your structured organisation of the three days ensured everyone had a really enjoyable time. The Ball was magnificent and the two social dances enabled everyone to mix and get to know each other. .. Many thanks."
Roy and Carolyn

"We both thank you for all the hard work and research you put into providing us with such lovely holidays, and at a reasonable price. We cannot think of anything you could do to improve on what you already offer us. We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next time! Thanks again, see you soon."

Ocean Ballroom at a Holiday in Weymouth

"Our first time with you, but the first of many... We were apprehensive as we had asked six of our friends to join us but any fears we had were soon dispelled. The dancing was a good mix of ballroom, latin and sequence. You also took the time to ask us if the content was to our liking. The venue was superb and we found our fellow dancers to be friendly. A great holiday thank you!"
